Tumblr introduces a new way to organize its growing community—a member’s directory called Spotlight. The directory features significant blogs and the people or organizations who owns them.
The new scheme is released after Tumblr presented its new Explore page. The purpose of the Explore page is to organize user-submitted content by tags. To keep track of a chosen keyword, a user can pin the tag on the dashboard.
In the coming months, Tumblr is set to add more blogs, categories and languages in the Spotlight directory. Also, Tumblr placed the “People You Know” tool next to the Spotlight tab.
