LinkedIn, the business-oriented social network site, achieved the 100 million members mark this week.
The website’s CEO, Jeff Weiner, shared the joy of achieving such feat in a blogpost and an infographic. Weiner said that the growth meant a step closer to the company’s goal. “We’re making great progress toward our ultimate goal: to connect all of the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful,” he wrote.
On the other hand, the two people who put up the infographic were Scott Nicholson and Anita Lillie, talented members of LinkedIn data sciences team. The infographic is a visualisation of how far LinkedIn have come and to where it is headed.
Weiner ended his post with a message of gratitude to LinkedIn members: “We want to thank all of you, our 100 million members, for making this happen. Your experiences, connections, and shared knowledge are what make LinkedIn so powerful to each and every one of us.”
